A New Year. A New Approach

Alex & Lucy talk about beginning a New Year and having a new approach to your wardrobe

The New Year is a time for reflection

Alex and Lucy discuss how the New Year is a time for reflection. Both forward to what the year might bring and backward to what happened last year.

They talked about Lucy’s 2023 commitment to add nothing to her wardrobe for 12 months.

Part of your reflection might include your wardrobe and how that’s working for you ……. or not.

They talked about:

Sale shopping. A bargain is only really a bargain if you wear the piece. If, regardless of the price, it meets all of the criteria of being a flattering colour and style, works for your lifestyle and aligns with who you are.

How to get started looking at your wardrobe

  • go slowly and take a pause. It’s not necessary to do everything in a few hours.
  • know what’s actually in there. Lucy asks her clients to do a stock take – with numbers – before they start to evaluate their clothing collection.
  • become consciously curious about what you have. What do you love to wear and why? What do you rarely, or never, wear and why?

Alex shared how much she discovered through sorting out her shoe cupboard and how good it felt to see what she had, what she rediscovered and what she no longer uses and needs.

2024 could be the year you finally get your wardrobe sorted and have it working for you and with you.

Thank you for the amazing group style session!  It was loads of fun and amazingly helpful. I’m now more confident and decisive when buying anything from a t-shirt to an evening gown.  Plus, I was just complimented by my Mom (tough critic) on my overall appearance, so I know it’s working.
