What is the purpose of your wardrobe?

Leigh & Lucy talk about what your wardrobe is for and what it’s like.

Leigh & Lucy talk about the purpose of your wardrobe, what it’s like and your experience of it.

They talk about what your wardrobe is for; simply, it’s the place you go to get dressed every day.

Ideally a place that contains flattering colours and styles, aligns with your life and expresses who you are.

What’s your wardrobe like?

Is it ordered, calm, organised in a way you can see everything and get to it all? A calm space to visit to start your day?

Or is it chaotic, full, crammed in, stressful? A frustrating start to your day?

Does it contain everything you need or are there things missing?

Is it a storage area for all kinds of things not even related to getting dressed? Bedding, wrapping paper, reusable shopping bags, paperwork, musical instruments.

Everyone is different and there is not a perfect or right way for your wardrobe to be.

However, if you can’t see everything and get to it easily are you using it to it’s greatest effect? Can you see the possibilities or are you always wearing the same few pieces over and over again?

I met with Lucy for a colour consultation. It was really interesting thinking about the colours and type of prints which I typically choose and discovering how certain colours worked well with my own eye, hair and skin tones, and how to wear these. The session has been really helpful, and given me the confidence to review my wardrobe and identify clothes that don’t work so well for me, which I had actually not been wearing. I am also able to shop more efficiently now as I have a much clearer idea of what colours work best for me.
