Getting ready for Christmas & New Year

Alex & Lucy talk about getting ready for Christmas & New Year

Are you clothes ready for Christmas & New Year?

What are some of the things to be thinking about as we enter the Christmas and New Year season?

  • Planning and looking ahead.

What does this time of year look like for you?  A bit of planning ahead to make sure you have what you need will avoid adding any further stress to this time of year.

  • Do you.

When you feel like yourself in whatever you’re wearing, and the clothes themselves are comfortable, you relax and enjoy yourself.

  • Be creative

How you can wear what you already own in different ways? Have some fun and play around with colour combinations, mixing fabrics, accessories and so on.

  • Layers

Layers are a great way to add variety to an outfit.  And to deal with different temperatures.

  • Fabrics

This time of year is an opportunity to mix fabrics up – silks, wool, sparkles, formal with casual etc.

  • Be practical

It’s easy to forget the practical element of dressing.

For the Christmas and New Year season be ready.  Be comfortable and relaxed.  And have fun.

I met with Lucy for a colour consultation. It was really interesting thinking about the colours and type of prints which I typically choose and discovering how certain colours worked well with my own eye, hair and skin tones, and how to wear these. The session has been really helpful, and given me the confidence to review my wardrobe and identify clothes that don’t work so well for me, which I had actually not been wearing. I am also able to shop more efficiently now as I have a much clearer idea of what colours work best for me.
